Joseph Addai Is A Patriot

The Patriots have agreed to a contract with former Colts running back Joseph Addai, according to a league source.

I'm not a Patriots fan, but I have loved what they have done this offseason. To the Captain's dismay they traded up in the draft and drafted on position of need. Although I'm starting to think they should have drafted Courtney Upshaw, he's a better fit and will be more of a versatile players than Dont'a Hightower. But this Joseph Addai signing is great, figuring he can keep the Kevin Faulk roll going, not only because he went to LSU as well, but because he is a really good pass catching back.

It's hard to judge Addai on the past couple of years because the Colts have gone away from running the ball as frequently as they once did when Addai was younger. Also, Addai will be a great insurance policy if Stevan Ridley and Shane Vareen are not ready to take over the every down back roll.
