Gaffney told Josina Anderson of ESPN that he will be signing a deal with the Patriots soon. The Redskins cut him just the other day and I think we all knew it wouldn't take him too long to find a home after leading the Redskins in almost every WR category (68 catches, 947 yards 5 TDs).
This is going to get very interesting for the Patriots now. The Patriots have added Brandon Lloyd, Donte’ Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez to a receiving group that already included Deion Branch, Chad Ochocinco and Julian Edelman. Plus Wes Welker will be back as long as he doesn't holdout.
Gaffney was a much better player (state wise) after he left the Patriots, so it will be interesting to see how he does, and who makes the team. One would think this could be the end of Ochocinco.
